Shrubland community garden and kitchen held a pumpkin festival to highlight all the delicious dishes we can make using pumpkins. So next time, you carve a pumpkin use the flesh to cook up a feast.
During the day, the following foods were made and tasted using pumpkins grown in the garden: cake, pakora, humous, soup and curry.
Nineteen adults and twelve children enjoyed the different dishes made using pumpkins.
