There is now a free after-school gardening club starting up in the garden. Aimed at primary age children 5-12 years (-ish), it’s being organised by teacher and Shrubland Road resident Anne-Marie. The children are getting involved with all aspects of gardening, but with an emphasis on growing things to eat – and fun!
The club currently runs during term time, and meets for about an hour, depending a bit on the weather and the project.
Children must be accompanied by a parent, carer or another adult who is responsible for them. Please discuss arrangements with Anne-Marie. Accompanying adults are encouraged to contribute their skills and enthusiasm to proceedings, or else sit quietly in the sunshine…
